About 1 year old and 8 pounds, little Peanut grew up in an animal hoarder's apartment with 30 other dogs and very little interaction with humans other than his owner. So he learned how to get along beautifully with other dogs, but became a shy, suspicious little guy with people--at least until he gets to know them. Then he transforms into a big-time cuddlebug who wants to be by your side nonstop. Besides lap warming, his other favorite activity is jousting with his dog pals, which include a Rottweiler and a pit bull as well as another chihuahua. He gets along great with the cats, too. With supervision, he has done well with his foster family's two kids, but he's best suited to a quiet, adult home. Peanut is potty pad trained and also likes to go outside. He needs practice on a leash. We have neutered Peanut, updated his vaccinations, tested him for heartworm, and microchipped him.
